2:46 am One of Cross's collared bears?
Yes, he live trapped a pile of them in TWP 24. We actually have all of the printouts and weights and ages when they were originally caught!
You ever go out in the winter when they are checking bear dens? He usually takes volunteers out once or twice a year that would like to see the process. I never got a chance to when I was working out of the Bangor office a couple years ago, had to keep at the duck banding project.
No but I would like to . . . what an awesome experience that would be! Maybe I will drop him a line and see if I can attend one of the winter checks!
I swear I read this title as "Favorite Beer Camp Game Photos" and immediately thought...Maine has a beer camp??? Nice looking pics! I'd love to know more about the collared one.
Actually "BEER CAMP" occurs at my brothers camp the week of July 4th. I don't have the info on the collared bear . . . it is usually fascinating to check out their age and how much weigh they can gain between when they are trapped and when they are shot.
Will these be part of the Sunday, September 23rd, at noon, presentation at you know where?
ABSOLUTELY!! I hope to see you in attendance!?!?!
